Marie Lawrence Winner of Knol Top Pick Authors Award

Lydia the Ladybug
is rejected by all the other ladybugs in her colony because of her size- it seems that she is just too small to matter.  She is ignored by them, and isn't allowed to take part in social events or in town hall meetings. Despite this, Lydia continues to live her life with hope and courage.

One day in her travels,
she comes upon a chance meeting with others who need her help.  Lydia shows them the kindness that others have always denied her and gains their friendship.  However, still longing for acceptance from the other ladybugs in her colony, she eventually discovers  there is someone who knows magic who can help her.

The only thing is
it happens to be something that she is dreadfully fearful of...
  • Can Lydia conquer her fear
    enough to confront this sorceress?

  • In seeking the magic that can help her win the approval from others, does she learn about a far greater magic within herself?
